CSA-Style Saturday Market
The Hollygrove Market & Farm conducts a CSA-style market fresh produce box to increase New Orleans residents’ access to fruits and vegetables. Stop by every Saturday from 10a.m. to 2p.m. to take a stroll around the farm and purchase a box.
Each week our farmer coordinator assembles a produce box containing an assortment of the best local and organic produce available. Boxes include a variety of fruits, vegetables, and herbs—old favorites and new varieties. Each box contains produce for approximately two people. The cost of the box is $25 and can be prepaid online through paypal, or with cash or check at the Saturday Market. Click the donate button below to prepay.
By signing up for our mailing list, you get access to our bi-weekly newsletter containing food and gardening related articles in addition to receiving a sneak preview of the produce box for the week. To join our mailing list, go to our homepage and click on the newsletter button in the top-right hand corner.
See y’at the Market!!

Picked up my first box on Saturday…made my first fried eggplant sticks w/the Savvy Gourmet recipe you enclosed (yum!) and also made a bee-YOO-tiful tortilla espanola for my daughter’s Spanish class this evening with the potatos! I’d rather have all local, rather than the organic from far-flung states…wonder how others feel?

Dana-
We are all so glad you liked the produce box and recipes! Would you be interested in helping us put together recipes for future boxes?
Local produce is important to us, too. Eventually we plan on phasing out most national organic produce and focusing only on local and regional produce. In the coming months you will start to see us get more and more local produce as we work with farmers. Thank you so much for your kind words and support!

Fresh produce, straight from the farm to my kitchen, what could be better? Thanks to all at the Hollygrove Market and Farm for making this happen. It’s one of the most exciting developments in Hollygrove!

I was very pleased to find white sweet potatoes from Indian Springs Farmer’s Association in the box last week. Great flavor and texture! Those Indian Springs Farmers exhibit true genius, producing foods that speak to the soul.

Just read the post above that says you are phasing out organic produce. Please don’t do this. More organic, please.

Hey Tara- Could you please point out where it says we are phasing organic produce because that is not the case.

Hi, I’m writing from Australia – it’s great to see such dynamic and beautiful local food from the other side of the world! My boyfriend is currently living in New Orleans. I was hoping to surprise him with a box of gorgeous fresh, local, organic produce to lift his spirits – but would need to be able to organise delivery (since he’s very constrained with transport and long working hours)
I don’t suppose you guys offer a delivery service? Or if not, are you able to put me in touch with a co-op that does?
I’d really appreciate your help, but in the meantime, keep up the good work – it’s so inspiring to see.

The Hollygrove market is one of the great localized community solutions to our nation’s increasingly unsustainable food system.
Local food, grown by local residents, eaten by the local community. It reduces our carbon footprint, increases food transparency from the ground to the plate, and tastes so much better.
Hollygrove Market, your work is truly appreciated. I encourage EVERYONE who loves food to support their efforts.
